JCL Concepts

Purpose

This assessment tests your general knowledge of JCL and input and output data set requirements.

Audience

This assessment is designed for data center staff that require a basic understanding of the function of JCL and how it is created and invoked.

Basic use of JCL
Commonly used JCL statements
Creating and storing JCL
Data set types.

Assessment Detail

This assessment contains 19 questions that will take approximately 40 minutes to complete. Ten minutes before this time limit is met, a warning message will be displayed. If the time limit expires and you have not completed the assessment, your score will be tallied and you will be taken to the results screen immediately.

The types of questions in this assessment are mainly simulation, multiple choice, drag and drop, and true or false. The questions displayed are different for every examinee because a number of core questions are always selected along with a number that are taken from a pool. All questions are then randomized to produce your customized assessment.

No internal or external manuals or references can be used during this assessment.

If the assessment is exited before the last question is displayed, or the time limit for the assessment has been exceeded, your recorded score will be based only on the questions that you have answered.

Pass Mark

The pass mark for this assessment is 70%.
