JCL Coding

Purpose

This assessment tests your skills and knowledge in coding JCL statements and parameters.

Audience

This assessment is designed for data center staff responsible for writing or maintaining JCL code.

Assessment Coverage

This assessment covers the following topics:

JCL coding rules
Coding of JOB, EXEC, and DD statements and associated parameters
Use of conditional code checking.

Assessment Detail

This assessment contains 32 questions that will take approximately 60 minutes to complete. Ten minutes before this time limit is met, a warning message will be displayed. If the time limit expires and you have not completed the assessment, your score will be tallied and you will be taken to the results screen immediately.

The types of questions in this assessment are mainly simulation, multiple choice, drag and drop, and true or false. The questions displayed are different for every examinee because a number of core questions are always selected along with a number that are taken from a pool. All questions are then randomized to produce your customized assessment.

No internal or external manuals or references can be used during this assessment.

If the assessment is exited before the last question is displayed, or the time limit for the assessment has been exceeded, your recorded score will be based only on the questions that you have answered.

Pass Mark

The pass mark for this assessment is 70%.
