z/OS System Operations

Purpose

This assessment measures your skills and knowledge associated with entering appropriate MVS commands used to display system component status, and the interpretation of the resulting data.

Audience

This assessment is designed for data center staff responsible for the operation and monitoring of the z/OS system, or other IT specialists that are required to interact with the z/OS environment.

This assessment covers the following topics:

MVS commands used to display device status
Interpretation of data resulting from MVS display commands

Assessment Detail

This assessment contains 29 questions that will take approximately 60 minutes to complete. Ten minutes before this time limit has expired, a warning message will be displayed. If the assessment is exited before the last question is displayed, or the assessment exceeds its time limit, scores based only on the questions that you have answered will be recorded.

The question types in this assessment are mainly simulation, multiple choice, drag and drop, and true or false. The questions displayed are different for every examinee because a number of core questions are always selected along with a number that are taken from a pool. All questions are then randomized to produce your customized assessment.

No technical manuals or references (either vendor or internally developed by your organization) should be used during this assessment.

Pass Mark

The pass mark for this assessment is 70%.
